Former NFL player Kellen Winslow Jr. arrested in suspected burglary

Former NFL tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. spent five hours in jail last week after being arrested on suspicion of burglary, a charge his representative says was due to an over-reactive neighbor.

Winslow, 34, is the son of NFL Hall of Fame tight end Kellen Winslow. He played in the NFL for nine seasons with the Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots Cheap Jerseys In US and New York Jets. His best season was in 2007 with the Browns, when he caught 82 passes for 1,106 yards and five touchdowns and was selected to the Pro Bowl.

Winslow hasn’t played since 2013, but has reportedly been interested in making a comeback each of the past two seasons.

Six months later, Beckham is back, Engram has come closer to emerging, Barkley is the odds-on favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year as the Giants’ starting running back, Shepard is healthy again and Marshall has been replaced by free-agent addition Cody Latimer, who is much younger and has the potential to become a solid starter.

Brady said that while he’d play until he was 43 or 45 as long as I’m still loving it, that he can feel his family life pulling him into another life chapter — one he’s growing increasingly eager to enter. The five-time Super Bowl champ and three-time NFL MVP has has three children, two with wife Gisele Bundchen and an older child with actress Bridget Moynahan.

I do have kids that I love, Brady said, and I don’t want to be a dad that’s not there driving my kids to their games. I think my kids have brought a great perspective in my life, because kids just want the attention. You better be there and be available to them, or else Cheap Jerseys MLB they’re going to look back on their life and go, ‘Dad didn’t really care that much.’

Damon Harrison wants to hit Saquon Barkley to see what he’s made of

Attendance at the minicamps being held by most of the teams in the league this week is mandatory for players under contract, but the on-field work isn’t too different from voluntary OTAs.

Shepley was drafted fifth overall in the Canadian Football League draft by Saskatchewan, but his dream is to play in the NFL. He signed with the Jets after the draft because he felt this was his best opportunity to make a roster after the Jets did not draft any linemen.

The 23-year-old hopes to have a long career in football. But when it ends, he now has a fallback career in acting.

It was certainly really cool, Shepley said. I can’t imagine being a full-time actor and being a full-time football player. The days I was there, even as an extra, I was there from 7 a.m. to midnight. Where am I going to work out? I’d have no time to train. It’s definitely something I’d like to pursue after football, whenever that may be.

Like when the United States government laughed at Doctor Evil for requesting $1 million, Nick Hardwick took to Twitter to expose his inexperienced blackmailer for asking for pocket change.

Wacha threw 111 pitches and struck out eight batters in his eight plus innings on the mound. He walked just two hitters in St. Louis’ 5-0 win.

Wacha set the Pirates down in order through the first four innings but he faced trouble in the fifth. He walked Francisco Cervelli with one out in the frame and followed with another free pass to Gregory Polanco two batters later. But, Wacha induced a groundout from Sean Rodriguez to end the threat.

Athletics starter Sean Manaea threw the first no-hitter of the season against the Red Sox in mid-April while Mariners pitcher James Paxton did not allow a hit to the Blue Jays in early May.

Dodgers starter Walker Buehler and three relievers also combined for a no-hitter against the Padres May 4.

You don’t know me personally and nobody hired me to look into you. Nor did I go out looking to burn you, the letter reads. It is just your bad luck that I stumbled across your misadventures while working a job around San Diego. I then put in more time than I probably should have looking into your life. Frankly, I am ready to forget all about you and let you get on with your life.

GMFB revisits wild ending to Super Bowl XLIX NFL Highlights • Jun 7, 2018, 12:56 AM NFL Network’s Kay Adams recounts the wild ending to Super Bowl XLIX.

Malcolm Jenkins uses signs, not words, in a powerful response to President Donald Trump

Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins has been an outspoken advocate for social justice, but he made one of his most powerful statements Wednesday without saying anything at all.

Pro Football Reference deemed only a handful of players to be more valuable to the Cleveland Browns than running back Duke Johnson was in 2017. That might not mean a whole lot considering that Cleveland didn’t win a game, but the fact is Johnson went over 1,000 yards from scrimmage despite being on the field just 53 percent of the time.

The 24-year-old is one of the best pass-catching backs in the league—only Le’Veon Bell has more catches and receiving yards the last two years—but 66 running backs and 35 Browns players are paid more than him.

That’ll likely change when his rookie contract expires next offseason.

Key players Trevor Williams, Desmond King, Austin Ekeler and Kyle Emanuel gave the Los Angeles Chargers tremendous bang for less than a million bucks each in 2017, but the much more handsomely paid Joey Bosa is still the team’s most underpaid member.

A mere 28 games into his career, the 2016 Defensive Rookie of the Year has 23 sacks, four forced fumbles, 111 tackles and a Pro Bowl nod. Still only 22 years old, he looks as though he’s on the verge of becoming one of the most dominant defensive players in the game.

And while he’s not hurting for cash with an average annual salary of $6.5 million, 18 4-3 defensive ends make more than that.

Unless the Los Angeles Rams sign defensive defensive lineman Aaron Donald to a blockbuster extension this summer, the league’s reigning Defensive Player of the Year will make less money than 68 other defensive players in 2018.

Griffin was named Offensive Player (not rookie) of the Week after his first NFL game.

This one’s easy. What doesn’t show up in Luck’s stats is the fact that he took one of the worst teams in franchise history to the playoffs in his first season. If it’s stats you want, fine. Luck broke NFL rookie records of passing yards, wins by a No. 1 overall QB and game-winning drives.

Bortles technically sat at first, but after relieving Chad Henne — Henne was so bad he left Jacksonville no choice — in the second half of a Week 3 blowout loss to the Colts, Bortles was named starter for the rest of the season.

Despite predictably dismal initial numbers on a team with few offensive weapons and a dreadful line, Bortles proved one key component of success for an NFL quarterback: durability. He enters 2018 still sticking as the Jaguars’ starting quarterback.

The 29-year-old Green has cracked 200 receiving yards just once in his seven-year career. In seven of the last eight seasons, two Chargers tight ends have eclipsed 200 receiving yards. Unless the team brings back Gates, Green will receive a drastic increase in playing time and targets, something we have no evidence he can handle.

The Rams defensive line, with the notable pairing of Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh, will be discussed early and often this season, but their outside linebacker situation is just as interesting—for the opposite reason. Their top veteran pass-rushers are Matt Longacre, Samson Ebukam and Ejuan Price.

Together, that trio has 7.5 career sacks. Though it sat out long stretches of the draft, Los Angeles added fifth-rounder Ogbonnia Okoronkwo and sixth-rounder Trevon Young to the unit. Since 2010, only three players picked outside the top 150 have recorded five or more sacks in their rookie seasons: Jonathan Newsome, Chris Jones and Pernell McPhee.

Jonathan Allen’s top offseason priority is staying healthy

Last year Washington used its first-round draft pick on defensive end Jonathan Allen, and he earned a starting job from Day One, but he didn’t do much as Cheap Blackhawks Jerseys a rookie: Allen played just five games before suffering a season-ending foot injury, and he finished his rookie year with just one sack.

This year, the top priority for Allen is staying healthy.

Clicker Consulting: This is where we offer free advice to sportscasting community, which we are sure the recipients all appreciate. For WFAN’s Boomer and Gio to be at its best, it needs Gregg Giannotti to lead the show more and not Boomer Esiason. Whatever you want to say about Craig Carton, he knew how to drive a show, which allowed Esiason to work off of him as a big name with real affection for multiple sports. Esiason sort of assumed the lead spot when Carton was exiled after his arrest and update guy Jerry Recco filled in.

However, now FAN should have Giannotti run the show, because he is the more talented radio personality, knowing where to take the program. The ratings with Giannotti replacing Carton have not been great so far, which could be for a variety of reasons and not necessarily the show’s quality. But for the program to grow,Giannotti needs to be the starting quarterback.

Tramaine Brock has a chance to be part of the plan at cornerback for the Broncos as they move on without Aqib Talib this season and that alone probably feels like a step up from last year.

Brock was released by the 49ers after a domestic violence arrest and signed by the Seahawks after charges were dropped in August. He was then traded to the Vikings two weeks later, leaving little time with his new team before the start of a season that saw him play just 51 defensive snaps.

That was a steep comedown from two years as a starter for the 49ers, but it didn’t shake Brock’s confidence in his own ability. Brock signed with the Broncos this offseason and said recently that Denver is “going to get a good player” out of the deal. Coach Vance Joseph feels the same way.

“I know what he can do,” Joseph said, via Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press. “That was a loaded cornerback room starter with San Francisco and played at a high level. No injuries. I mean, he’s still fairly young, so why can’t he play? … We’re expecting him to get back to his San Francisco form.”

NFL reportedly contemplating 15-yard penalty for kneeling during anthem

The NFL reportedly is contemplating hitting teams with a 15-yard penalty if its players kneel during the national anthem.

According to The MMQB, the NFL is considering allowing the home team to decide whether players and coaches come out for the national anthem or stay in the locker room.

According to Mike Klis of 9NEWS, Elway was deposed at Broncos team headquarters on Tuesday.

Elway joins Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, Houston Texans owner Bob McNair, Baltimore Ravens General Manager Ozzie Newsome and head coach John Harbaugh and Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll and G.M. John Schneider as people already questioned during the grievance process.

Kaepernick attended the deposition as he has other Cheap Dream Team Jerseys sessions throughout the case.

The New York Jets could not have imagined in their wildest dreams a situation unfolding where Sam Darnold fell to them at No. 3. The NFL is often weirder than reality and it unfolded as such, with the Browns taking Baker Mayfield, the Giants taking Saquon Barkley and the Jets finding themselves stunned that their top choice was there at No. 3. It only happened through a bold, but expensive, trade up from No. 6 to No. 3. And even after making that move, the Jets received plenty of criticism for not trying to get to No. 2 — the Jets were willing to settle at No. 3, understanding they could, at worst, get their third choice of quarterback there if the Browns (definitely drafting one) and Giants (definitely should have drafted one) both went in that direction.

“I would say Jeremiah is doing very, very well,” Tiger-Cats Cheap Blackhawks Jerseys coach June Jones said after Wednesday’s training camp practice, via ESPN . “Until something creates for me to take him out of there, I would say he’ll be our starter for the whole year, hopefully, and win the Grey Cup.”

Manziel signed a two-year contract with the Tiger-Cats on Saturday but was generally a spectator for the start of training camp the next day, though Jones assured the newcomer just needed to “catch up.”

49ers go back to ’90s glory days with throwback alternates

San Francisco is going with an almost exact replica of the white uniforms it wore during its Super Bowl-winning 1994 season as part of the NFL’s 75th anniversary celebration. Those threads were so popular that they inspired a change in the 49ers’ primary look not long after.

Though Jones’ salaries over the next two years are not out of line with the market, both will be outside the top 10 among receivers. The Falcons are in win-now mode, and teams with that mindset want to avoid distractions. Atlanta just spent a mini-fortune on Ryan, and the last thing it wants is the QB’s top target absent from practice. So there could be a window for compromise.

Said a former colleague of Tepper: “He’s an asshole, to say the least. I had stuff thrown at me. He can be a nice guy off the desk, in the kitchen or walking to the car. It’s almost like Jekyll and Hyde, you didn’t know any given day who was going to walk through the door.”

After Hurricane Sandy hit New Jersey in 2012, Tepper donated $230,000 in $100-value gift cards to residents affected by the storm. The giveaway was organized by Better Education Institute and Better Education for Kids, both of which were founded by Tepper.

Tepper has been critical of president Donald Trump. Just before the 2016 election, he told CNBC that “Trump masquerades as an angel of light, but he is the father of lies.” He previously had told the New York Post that Trump “may be demented, narcissistic and a scumbag.”

Tepper supported Barack Obama in the 2008 election and then Mitt Romney in 2012. He voted for Hillary Clinton for president in 2016 but supported Republicans in Cheap Reversible Jerseys congressional races that year.

Tepper has committed more than $125 million in Cheap Pittsburgh Penguins Jerseys donations to Carnegie Mellon. He serves on the university’s Board of Trustees.

Browns pick up Damarious Randall’s fifth-year option

The Browns traded for defensive back Damarious Randall this offseason, and now they’ve secured his services for an extra year.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Browns are going to pick up the fifth-year option on Randall’s rookie contract.

The Browns don’t have a 2015 first-rounder of their own to pick up, having already pawned off Danny Shelton to the Patriots.

Michael Gallup, WR Colorado State: Dallas finally adds a receiver as the post-Dez era begins. The junior college transfer tore up the competition in two years in the Mountain West, posting 176 catches for 2,685 yards and 21 touchdowns. Gallup has an advanced handle on the position, adept at setting up defensive backs with precise route running while comfortably contorting his body to haul in difficult throws — often the kind that slip from Dak Prescott’s arm.

Waynes started nine games in his first two years with the Vikings before moving into a full-time starting role last season. He finished the year with 65 tackles and two interceptions and added seven more tackles in Minnesota’s two postseason games.

Waynes and Hughes are joined at cornerback by Xavier Rhodes, who was also a first-round pick, and 2016 second-rounder Mackensie Alexander.

Da’Shawn Hand was arrested for DUI in July 2017 when police reportedly found him asleep at the wheel of a parked (but running) car. While the arrest may have hurt his draft stock a little, Hand’s bigger on-field issues are that he’s strictly a two-gap defender and has limited experience and production. The experience problem is typical for Alabama defenders, who always get stuck behind other NFL-caliber defenders early in their college careers, but the huge, gifted Hand should have Cheap Authentic MLB Jerseys worked his way into the rotation more assertively before his final season.

Hand lacks penetrating quickness and (ironically) refined hand Best Cheap Jerseys From China technique, limiting his effectiveness as an edge-rusher. He’s a useful player, but the Lions need edge-rushing talent desperately, and that is not Hand’s strong suit.

San Francisco 49ers pick WR Dante Pettis at No. 44

Jimmy Garoppolo has a new receiving target.

The San Francisco 49ers selected Washington wide receiver and returner extraordinaire Dante Pettis with the 44th pick in the 2018 draft. The Niners traded up with the Washington Redskins to snag the Husky return man.

Pettis is the fifth receiver off the board this weekend and the second of the night after Courtland Sutton went to the Broncos.

In Pettis, the Niners are getting an speedy, elusive receiver who doubles as an elite return man. The Husky product broke the NCAA record for career return touchdowns (9), recording four in his senior season alone.

It’s not that hard to tune out because I really don’t read anything. I don’t understand why you’d get yourself worked up at 9 p.m. on a Tuesday because you’re getting into an argument on Twitter with somebody. I’m not keeping like an Arya hit list,’ Rosen said, referencing a vengeful character on his new favorite show.

I just want to go out and play football.

But during Arkansas’ loss at home to Auburn on Oct. 21, Ragnow suffered a high ankle sprain. It knocked him out for the final five games of his senior season, one that ended with just four victories and ultimately cost coach Bret Bielema his job.

However, that injury didn’t deter Ragnow in his belief he would be a first-round pick in the NFL Draft, a belief that was validated on Thursday when the Detroit Lions selected Ragnow (6-foot-5, 312 pounds) with the 20th overall selection.

To be honest, no, Ragnow said when asked if he was surprised the injury didn’t hurt his draft stock. I believe in my abilities and I knew that if I could just prove that my ankle was back to being healthy, I think the film didn’t lie. I’m just so excited that I’ve gotten to this point and here is where I am.

Where he’ll be is with the Lions, who have invested heavily in rebuilding the offensive line since Bob Quinn took over as general manager. He selected starters Taylor Decker and Graham Glasgow in 2016 before signing T.J. Lang and Rick Wagner to lucrative free-agent contracts last season.

Now, the Lions get the versatile Ragnow, who, like Glasgow, can play center or either guard spot. And when they met with him at the NFL Combine in March, there was little Cheap Football Jerseys Xxl doubt what he brought to Cheap Hockey Jerseys Canada the table.

Rosen was my top-ranked quarterback in this year’s draft, and the Cardinals traded up five spots from No.15 to get him.

Rosen is the fourth quarterback taken in the first 10 picks. He, Mayfield, Darnold and Allen are going to be tied at the hip when we analyze this draft in five years.

Part of the reason Rosen wasn’t taken higher is his outgoing personality and his outspoken ways when it comes to politics and, frankly, anything else. If he has early success in the league, Rosen could very well become the best Cheap Donegal Gaa Jerseys soundbite in the NFL.

Alex Smith’s first three games in Washington are against teams whose quarterbacks combined to play nine games in 2017 — at Arizona (Sam Bradford, two games), the Cheap Blackhawks Jerseys Colts at home (Andrew Luck, zero) and the Packers at home (Aaron Rodgers, seven). His Chiefs replacement, Patrick Mahomes, starts his season with four road games in his first six weeks: at the Chargers, Steelers, Broncos (with Case Keenum) and Patriots. One of the home games is against the Jaguars.

The Colts get to greet their almost-head coach Josh McDaniels when they go to New England in Week 5 on Thursday night. Seattle welcomes back Richard Sherman in Week 13 on Sunday night when the 49ers visit. And the Patriots and Steelers play in Pittsburgh again in Week 15 … under different catch rules than last season.

I’m not going to pretend to know a lot about Miller. What I do know is that this run on offensive and defensive linemen is not good for the Lions, who are trying to trade down in the draft, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

If the Lions are unable to trade down, their hand may be forced, and you could see them take a skill position player. That’s something they likely wanted to do later on.

The Bills traded the 22nd overall pick and a third round selection (65th overall) for the right to move up and take Edmunds, who likely was near the top of the Lions draft board as their pick approaches.

Edmunds is a linebacker that can go sideline to sideline and has tremendous size (6’4, 253 pounds) to match his 4.5 speed.

Guessing what Bob Quinn is going to do at the NFL Draft has never been easy. It certainly wasn’t this time around, either.
