NFL suspends Vikings WR Michael Floyd four games

Mike Zimmer will have trouble getting out to Minnesota workouts over the next few weeks while recovering from eye surgery.

What will put a bigger damper on the Vikings though is the news that they have lost wide receiver Michael Floyd for the first four games of the season. The Vikings released a statement detailing the suspension Friday.

The former Patriots, Cardinals and Notre Dame receiver was suspended for violating his house arrest earlier this year — all of which stemmed from a DUI conviction in February.

After being sentenced to house arrest, Floyd was ordered not to consume any alcohol over the first 30 days he spent in his home after he was release from jail. In that time he tested positive for alcohol and blamed it on the kombucha tea he consumed not knowing it contained alcohol.

Now the NFL is handing down their own punishment with the four-game suspension.

Kennard was not viewed by many (or maybe any) NBA scouts as a possible first-round pick entering his sophomore season, but he averaged 19.5 points per game while shooting 48.9 percent from the field, 43.8 percent from 3-point range and 85.6 percent from the free-throw line. He hit double-figure scoring in all but two of Duke’s 37 games this season and led the team to the ACC Tournament championship, winning MVP honors.

His consistent shooting and passing coupled with his ability to play off Cheap MLB Authentic Jerseys the ball Cheap NFL Jerseys China has propelled him into the top-20 range in most mock drafts. It’s a smart move for Kennard to capitalize on his breakout season when his stock is at its peak.
